'I'm curious about the mission L3SAT545.'

Pricilla rotated the focusing ring on her binocular until she obtained a sharp image of them sitting at the corner table. She adjusted the earpiece in her left ear to get clear reception of the audio.

'What about it?' asked Professor Bala as he sipped some coffee.
'Why L3? Science has not found a use for this spot yet,' said Monisha as she leaned towards the table to pick her cup of coffee.

Two buildings away
'We're in position,' Pricilla heard a voice in the radio she had in her coat pocket.
Pricilla took the radio in her hand. She took it close to her mouth and said, 'copy that.' She paused for a moment and said, 'standby.'
'Copy,' the voice faded into a distortion.

Whispering Destiny: Episode 4

'That's a shocker.' Madhu gulped down some water. She cleared her throat and asked, 'when did you find the abortion pills?'

That night when she in the hospital, her brother agreed to cover a couple of hours for me while I went back home to freshen up and get her spare clothes. That's when I stumbled upon the pill bottle hidden inside the locker. Good for me, she left the locker open else I wouldn't have known. I then took the pill bottle to the hospital and showed it to her brother. Mike admitted he found huge traces of Mifepristone in her blood work and that might have possibly caused the Premature rupture of membranes.

'Mike and I agreed to keep this to ourselves,' said Mithin.

Madhu noticed Mithin getting distracted by something. She turned back and saw a couple entering the restaurant and heading away in the opposite direction to the corner table.
'They seem familiar?' asked Madhu.
Mithin regained his senses and asked Madhu, 'what?'
'You seem to know that couple,' said Madhu.
'No, I was just...' Mithin took a deep breath and said, 'I got reminded of Atarah.'
'Tell me how you dealt with her psychological trauma?'

Whispering Destiny: Episode 3

'It's okay, Atarah. It's just eleven months,' said Mithin as Atarah hugged him tight outside the International Airport departure terminal.
Atarah responded as she sobbed and rested her face close to his heart, 'we have never been away, even for a month.' She lifted her head, looked into his eyes and said, 'I have no idea how I am going to deal with this.'
Mithin kissed her forehead and said, 'trust me, you're going to do just fine.'

Atarah hugged Mithin tighter not letting him go as they heard the announcement for his flight bound to Edinburgh.

'How did you guys deal with it?' asked Madhu as she flipped the paper on her notepad.

The initial few days of those eleven months were cruel. Took me a while to get adjusted to the new place. The food wasn't a problem but the weather was. It was winter by the time I got there and the cold was horrible. Atarah and I made sure we talked to each other every day. My breakfast time used to be her lunchtime hence we spent most of the time talking to each other as we eat.

'So, when did you realize that something was off with her?' asked Madhu.

Madhu noticed Mithin's face turning dull. She interrupted his thoughts by asking, 'Okay, now let's get back to the devastating news. What did you hear the other day that shook you up?'

That incident happened roughly a year and a half before I left the country. Her voice sounded too dark as if she was traumatized by something really bad. Holding the phone in my hand, I stood there frozen as I heard her say, 'Mithin, please don't hate me.' Wiping my tears, I said, 'baby, whatever happened it wasn't your fault. I'll be there in thirty minutes.'

Whispering Destiny: Episode 1

Riverside Mall, Kolkata
Mithin Ezekiel opted to sit at the corner table at the rooftop restaurant from where he could enjoy the uninterrupted view of the city skyline. It was fifteen minutes past seven in the evening and the restaurant wasn’t crowded. Mithin ordered a glass of lemonade. He looked at his cell phone and noticed that there were no new notifications. He put the phone aside and sipped some lemonade.

Ten minutes later, he noticed a woman in her mid-thirties walking towards his table. She was short, fair and had curly hair. The woman seemed attractive. Mithin kept his vision on her and he stood up from his chair once he noticed the woman walked close his table.
‘Mithin Ezekiel, right?’ asked the woman as she extended her hand. Mithin shook her hands. She then said, ‘I’m Madhumitha. It’s a pleasure meeting you.’ As she sat opposite to him, she said, ‘you can call me Madhu.’
‘Pleasure meeting you, Madhu.’ Mithin called for the waiter. He looked at Madhu and asked, ‘would you like to order something?’
‘Oh sure.’ As the waiter arrived at the table, Madhu turned to him and said, ‘one Nigerian Chicken Pepper Soup with mashed potatoes. Don’t make the potatoes too salty.’ She handed the menu card to the waiter and smiled at him as he left. She took out a notepad from her handbag and placed it on the table. She then turned to Mithin and said, ‘so, Mithin, let’s start from the beginning.’ She looked at Mithin as she held the pen close to the notepad.

‘Foul. That’s a foul. He knows that’s a foul,’ Mithin said this to his play partner as they exited the tennis court. Getting to the locker room, Mithin took his phone from the safe and unlocked it. The display showed 4 missed calls from Atarah. He dialed her. The call was picked up after four rings.
‘I was trying to reach you for quite some time…’ Atarah spoke immediately as she picked up the call.
‘Babe, is everything alright?’ asked Mithin.
‘I’m pregnant, Mithin.’

Pirin Mountains, Bulgaria
Пирин
Twice in a month, Denz heads to one of the dense forests of Bulgaria to exercise. He always considered nature as a perfect gymnasium. As usual, he got into the section of the forest that had thick trees which were a good platform for him to perform pull-ups. He placed his gear aside, took off his jerkin and placed it on his bag. He wore a thick military cargo pant and a light green vest. He held on to the tree with both his hands and then pulled himself upwards. As he got to the 230th pull-up, the leaves crackling noise distracted him. He stopped for a moment and concentrated on the surrounding as he hung on to the tree. The crackling sound stopped. He waited for couple more moments before he resumed his pull-ups. Twenty seconds later, he sensed something else. His reflexes were too brisk that he instantly caught the arrow that headed his way from his left. It was a Tranquilizer Arrow. Holding the arrow in his left hand, Denz slowly let himself on the ground. He then concentrated on his left. He heard the leaves crackling noise again from his left, but it was gentle this time. He headed towards the direction of the crackling noise. He then instantly moved at a great speed, as though hurled by a catapult, towards the bush that lay to his right. He then grabbed a man by his neck with his legs, twisted it so hard that the man's neck turned backward leaving him dead instantly. Denz stood there holding the Tranquilizer Arrow. He noticed three other men revealing themselves from the bush. All the three men surround him. He did not think twice. He immediately swung the Tranquilizer Arrow to the man who stood right in front of him. He then took the shotgun from the holster of the dead man and shot the man who stood towards his left twice - passing one bullet through his chest and one through his forehead. All these happened in less than 2 seconds. He then sensed some panic from the third man who was standing towards his right. He ran towards the third man and jumped on to him. He then put the shotgun into his mouth. They both heard another noise. It was a roar.
'You know what that is?' asked Denz.
The man who had the shotgun pointed in his mouth nodded a no.
'That's a Panther. You know what happens when a Panther roars?' As Denz explained this, they both could sense the footsteps of the Panther approaching them. He continued, 'when the Panther roars, even the brave hunter who has come all the way to kill it will go hiding.' The footsteps approach faster and Denz continued, 'I am not a hunter, I am a killer.' He shot the man and then looked up to the fast-approaching Panther and shot at it twice.
